The Motorola Defy Plus JCB Edition is, as the name itself suggests, an exclusive version of the Motorola Defy Plus smartphone device that Motorola Mobility got out recently for the famous building equipment manufacturer, JCB. Incidentally, this special edition of the Motorola Defy Plus device is the first ever smartphone model that JCB has got for itself made.
Not surprisingly enough, the Motorola Defy Plus JCB Edition packs a few pleasant surprises when it comes to features and technical specifications backing it that are not there in the original Motorola Defy Plus smartphone handset.
You see, special editions made for big names are meant to be and do carry special features that have been exclusively added by the maker for the handset. And the Motorola Defy Pus JCB Edition is no exception to this rule.
To begin with, the 800 Mhz OMAP 3610 central processing unit has been replaced by the far more powerful the 800 Mhz OMAP 3610 CPU from Texas Instruments. As with this powerful chip set was not enough, Motorola Mobility has also given the Motorola Defy Plus JCB Edition the Android 2.3 Gingerbread version of the operating system. This is mighty enough combination.
While the exclusive JCB skin on offer is on expected lines, what is not is the fact that the exterior is dust resistant and water resistant as well.
Moreover, the Motorola Defy Plus JCB Edition has a dazzlingly glorious 3.7 inches wide capacitive touch sensitive display screen that is made of premium Gorilla glass. This touchscreen is, again, scratch resistant.
